FABS Services

Assessment

The assessment begins with caregiver interviews, where we discuss the individual's strengths, challenges, and specific goals. Direct observations in various settings allow us to observe behaviors and interactions firsthand, providing valuable data for analysis.

In addition to interviews and observations, our assessment may include the use of norm-referenced or criterion-referenced assessment tools. These tools help us to objectively measure and evaluate the individual's current skills and abilities across relevant domains.

By combining caregiver input, direct observation, and structured assessments, we create a thorough profile that guides the development of targeted interventions aimed at fostering independence and improving adaptive living skills such as toileting and sleeping. This collaborative approach ensures that our treatment plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.

Family Treatment Guidance - In person

At FABS, we prioritize caregiver collaboration as an integral part of our services. We understand the crucial role that parents, family members, and other stakeholders play in supporting the success of our clients. Through caregiver collaboration sessions, we work directly with caregivers to ensure they are informed, involved, and empowered throughout the treatment process.

These sessions provide an opportunity for caregivers to actively participate in reviewing the treatment plan, discussing progress, and setting goals for the individual receiving services. Our team offers guidance, answers questions, and provides direction on implementing strategies and techniques that promote consistency and support across routines and settings.

We emphasize open communication and encourage caregivers to share their insights, concerns, and observations. By fostering a collaborative partnership, we aim to enhance the effectiveness of interventions and promote sustainable progress in adaptive living skills such as toileting and sleeping.

Our goal is to empower caregivers with the knowledge and tools they need to support their loved one's development and independence effectively. Together, we work towards achieving meaningful outcomes that improve the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families.
